Dr. Renee Terrasi is the Director and Founder of Peace By Piece (PXP). Dr. Terrasi’s vision and mission for PXP emanates from her own lifelong struggle with a neurological disability, as well as foster parent to a child with autism.
Dr. Terrasi has been providing quality applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to persons with autism and related disabilities for many years. In June of 2008, she expanded her services to better meet the needs the community. Dr. Terrasi established Peace By Piece Solutions Inc., a private behavioral therapy clinic as well as Peace By Piece Learning Center Inc., a not for profit Florida Department of Education certified private school. Peace By Piece operates in a 5000 square foot newly renovated facility, centrally located in Fort Myers, Florida. Our therapists, under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Terrasi, provide applied behavior analysis/verbal behavior therapy as well as daily instruction to children with autism, apraxia, adhd and other disabilities. PXP is one of the industry leading providers of an integrated Verbal Behavior and Errorless Learning approach. This is a highly successful method for teaching language and functional communication to children with language and speech disorders. Many children have come to us with little or no communication skills, often after months or years of traditional therapy, and have made significant gains within the first month.

All children receive a thorough assessment of their existing skills. Based upon the results of this assessment and parental input, an individualized treatment program is developed. All therapists and caretakers involved with the child are thoroughly trained in implementing each protocol correctly. Because children learn in many different ways, we use an array of teaching methods to help our clients/students comprehend material. Daily progress data is collected on each skill targeted for intervention and used to guide our treatment decisions.
The mission of Peace By Piece is to provide researched based behavior, analytic and educational services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We strive to provide an environment that is surrounds each child with unconditional love, patience, support and respect. We believe children require the space and opportunity to bloom, the freedom to be themselves and the ability to grow into happy, loved, confident and contributing members of our society.
